Beautiful, big units provided with historical paintings, Indian board games like carrom, as for instance. Fine and outstanding meals. Marvellous location in an interesting area, good restaurants in the local area.

I had a wonderful weekend getaway at Chidambara Vilas. The heritage stay allowed me to immerse myself in the rich Chettinad culture and cuisine. I particularly enjoyed the informative home tour conducted by Senthil, the Vilas Manager. The guided morning walk around the village was a delightful experience. The hotel's commitment to wheelchair accessibility and support for those with physical disabilities was commendable. The comfortable and clean rooms, along with the passionate and courteous staff, made my stay truly memorable. I highly recommend this culturally rich and authentic Chettinad hotel.
I would definitely recommend this hotel.

I'm not a huge fan of staying in busy, crowded cities, so I really enjoyed the calm location of this hotel. Even in those places where you might feel like there's nothing to do, there are actually so many small villages and towns to explore. the room was spacious and well-decorated, with a bathroom that was clean and comfortable. the service was friendly and attentive, with a delicious breakfast served every morning.
There was only one small issue with the hotel, which was the food - it was sometimes a bit repetitive and took a long time to prepare compared to the local authentic cuisine.

Spending Christmas at this historic hotel was a memorable experience. the rooms were spacious and well equipped with everything we needed. the location was perfect, with easy access to nearby attractions.
There were a few areas that could be improved upon. the swimming pool area could have been maintained better.
